To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Shang Palace’s Executive Chef Mok Kit Keung takes you on a nostalgic journey back to the good ol’ days with a celebratory menu inspired from the seminal 1971 launch itself.
For a limited time only, from 23rd April to 30th June 2021, Shang Palace will offer three specially commissioned dim sum pushcarts with a curated selection of 50 steamed, baked and deep-fried ‘old-school’ favorites. That’s not all; in addition to these delectable dishes, Chef Mok will present an extensive à-la-carte menu consisting of 50 heritage and celebratory dishes.
Aside from enjoying good food, guests will be treated to stories of the food, people and tradition of the 1970s. Chef Mok will highlight the way diners of the 1970s ate, chefs’ mindsets, the way their kitchens were run and their approach to produce and their craft.
What’s more, as a token of heartfelt appreciation towards guests for their continued support over the years, the Shang Palace traditional Sweetened Red Bean Soup with prized 50-year tangerine peel will be offered to guests for only $5. Hurry down to enjoy these refreshed iterations of your most-loved traditional dishes before they vanish once again!
