This July, the master chefs at Din Tai Fung proudly bring back the yearly highly-anticipated Steamed Chilli Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao 辣椒螃蟹小笼包. A favourite among local gastronomes since the inaugural launch in 2007, the dumplings are filled with succulent crab meat and juicy pork in a spicy crab-based broth that promise to tantalise even the most discerning palate.
The Steamed Chilli Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao is a creative rendition of Din Tai Fung’s world-famous Xiao Long Bao, meticulously handmade by a team of dedicated chefs, with the filling wrapped in a delicate skin, pleated with a minimum of 18 exquisite folds, twisted at the top, and steamed. With bold flavours complementing the sweetness of crab meat, these dumplings are recommended by chefs to be savoured as they are, without additional condiments.
