Founded in 2021 by award-winning bartender Kazuhiro Chii (“Chii-san”), Kakure is an exquisite 10-seater bar housed in a historic black-and-white bungalow situated on Scotts Road. Kakure embodies the essence of the Japanese bar experience, fusing together elements of modernity and tradition.
Over the course of two decades, Chii-san has honed his bartending skills to one of the finest levels, having worked extensively across various bars in Yokohama, Tokyo and Singapore. He incorporates deep insights from his personal experience in the Japanese martial art (Shorinji Kempo), and as a participant in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.
